There will be a workshop at Crabtree Canine Enrichment on 27th April 2025
We miss so many clues that our dogs leave us. So much of what they tell us go un noticed -this morning workshop sets out to address this situation
If you could converse with your dog, what would they say to you?
Dogs are constantly giving us information about themselves - they do this through body language and movement
If we are familiar with them, we can recognize what is "normal" for them and monitor any behavioral changes, but what might we be overlooking? This event examines canine communication, focusing on how dogs move (and how pain and discomfort can affect both communication and movement) and what they need to remain healthy and happy.
Topics include:
Observing interactions between dogs and their greeting behaviors
Understanding how they determine there is no threat
Respecting each other/knowing when to step away
Interpreting body posture and canine communication
Following this, we will explore how to assist dogs with confidence issues and identify signs that your dog may be experiencing mobility challenges.By understanding how to improve posture through specific exercises during walks and daily activities, we can positively impact a dog's life by creating a program to maintain their mobility.
Spaces limited and handler places are available but any dogs that attend need to be comfortable around other dogs and people
Please note there are no loos available at Crabtree Canine Enrichment
Refreshments provided
Parking is limited - do be prepared to walk after you park!
