Back To Basics Workshop
Training is a great way of strengthening the bond you have with your dog, as well as reviewing and improving their life skills. Contact Pennie for more details of how you and your dog can benefit.
Our ‘Back to Basics’ workshop covers everything from socialisation and walking on a loose lead to potentially life-saving commands such as ‘come’ and ‘wait’.
We also spend time introducing the dogs to nosework, mobility exercises and fun agility techniques. (These are all slow, gentle techniques, so are ideal for dogs of all ages and abilities.)
Please contact Pennie for prices and future dates of these courses.
- Class location may vary due to weather conditions. We will inform you if this is the case.
- Dogs must be over 7 months to attend and will need a comfortable harness and a long lead.
Recall is one of the aspects of our dogs' training which is often incomplete. All dogs need to have a good recall if they go off lead in open areas. Join our Recall Workshop and learn how to keep your dog safe!
Lack of recall is not only dangerous but can put other dogs in compromising situations too. Recall is not an easy skill for many dogs, the key being to create such a strong bond between dog and owner that the dog wants to return. A solid foundation is very important and is dependent on good, positive training techniques.
Dogs should never be scolded if they don’t come back, instead high value treats and incentives need to be used if you are to teach a good and reliable recall.
This workshop covers all these points and more, with homework given to practice between classes.
Cost: £42.00 for 3 sessions
- You will need to fit your dog with a comfortable harness and bring a long training line.
