Equine Bowen PRE BOOKING INFORMATION FOR EQUINE BOWEN THERAPYVeterinary permission must be obtained before Equine Bowen therapy proceeds.
Following a Bowen session it is recommended that your horse is worked on a straight line for a few days. Quiet hacking is ideal, as it helps to relieve stiffness and helps to promote release of toxins due to gentle movement. Depending on your horse's individual routine, he will benefit the most from Bowen if you avoid strenuous exercise for 2-4 days after Equine Bowen. This is especially important after the first ever session of EBT, as pushing your horse too hard will cancel out the biggest benefits of EBT. It is important that if your horse is feeling a little sluggish, your work is altered to suit this. These reactions may be due to toxins being released, which is a good sign after Bowen; and shows that the healing process is beginning. It is recommended that your horse receives 2-3 session of EBT, this enables time for the horses body to react and for changes to occur. As with all athletes, prevention is better than cure.BOOKING INFORMATION
