Posture of horse and rider workshop (Unmounted)
With Pennie Clayton and Pauline Holmes
This clinic looks at the correct rider position, and discusses how to get the best from your horse by improving your knowledge of your posture and aiding. The day includes a pilates session with Pauline Holmes who specialises in pilates for riders.
Monthly test and retest clinics starting on Saturday 1st May
These clinics give you a chance to select a test, ride through it and receive some coaching and commentary on it before riding through it once more. These kinds of clinics can help you to become more confident and allow you to experiment with higher level tests: or alternatively you are able to ride at a more comfortable level and find out how and what you can improve in order to earn higher marks. (A programme for training can be given to you if you require).
April 17th
Lateral work clinic
Lateral work is on the list of the most important things that riders need to have a grounding in. Lateral work has an overall affect on the horse and can be used as an antidote to stiffness and lack of flexibility in your horse. It is also necessary in training, as it helps to increase strength straightness and balance in your horse. It is imperative too that riders have a good grounding and knowledge of lateral movements not only to develop their seats but also as a means of developing correct aiding and understanding of how to advance engagement of the horses haunches.

June 12th
Canter clinic
Canter can be a difficult gait to master, and most horses go through a phase of finding canter difficult on a particular lead. Riders also often experience confidence and balance problems in the canter. You will be helped to develop the canter and learn how to increase balance and consistency by using school patterns that you may not have been aware of before.
