SUMMER CANINE WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING 2010
To be held at
Hawley Pavilion, King George’s Field, Hawley Road, Dartford, DA2 7RW
The following workshops and classes are all 2 weeks unless otherwise specified. They are ideal if you find it difficult to attend weekly classes, but need help with a particular aspect of your dog’s behaviour or training.
Please bring some treats with you and something for your dog to lie down on just in case he needs it, and when booking let me know if your dog is nervous of other dogs.
Spaces are limited to 4 dogs per class, and a deposit of £10.00 is required on booking.
AN INTRODUCTION TO CLICKER TRAINING
3 week course. (Clicker included in price of course).
Thursday 17th June - Thursday 1st July. 7.30-8.30
The first week will be without your dog and will look at how to use a clicker so that you can learn and practise your skills before you work with your dog. The next 2 weeks will then show you how to develop the use of this positive training technique and how to shape new skills and behaviours.
Mixture of theory and practical work.Course notes included. Cost £30.00
SOCIALISATION CLASS
2 week class.
Thursday 15th and 22rd July. 7.30pm
If your dog is a little nervous of other dogs, or he/she has had a bad experience while walking then this class will help to develop confidence and allow you to gain lots of good experiences while being around other dogs. All work will be on lead.
Mixture of practical and theory work. Course notes included. Cost £25.00

RECALL CLINIC.
2 weeks starting 15th July (as above). 8.30pm
Do you have trouble attracting your dog’s attention when you are out?
This clinic will help you to understand why your dog prefers to do his “own thing”, and how to start resolving this training issue. By building a better bond with your dog, you will have a foundation on which to work with to improve this frustrating problem. If your dog is nervous about other dogs please let me know when you book. This class will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor work.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES FOR YOUR DOG.
Saturday 24th July. 9.00am
This will last approximately one hour and will be a bit of everything. A bit of training, some fun agility (nothing advanced) and perhaps a bit of nosework. Bring some treats and an open mind because if your dog is not particularly good at one activity he may well prefer one of the other ones.
Booking required. Cost £5.00 per dog.
PULLING ON LEAD WORKSHOP
2 week course. 9th-16th September. 7.30
If your dog tugs at the lead, pulls you along as fast as he can, and refuses to walk slowly this class will help you!
A mixture of theory and practical work. Course notes included. Cost £25.00
