CANINE BOWEN THERAPY
What is Canine Bowen helpful for?
Canine Bowen is a holistic therapy which means that therapists treat the dog as a whole, rather than focusing solely on a particular problem area or condition. For instance a dog with a limp will transfer weight onto his/her good leg which will cause misalignment in the body, and can store up problems for the future. (Up to 75% 0f dogs that have cruciate ligament surgery on one leg, end up having the same procedure performed on the other leg due to this very problem).
Keeping this in mind this means that Canine Bowen is a very versatile therapy and can be of benefit with many types of problem including:
-
Degenerative conditions: among these arthritis, spinal problems, and joint pain caused by chronic illness. Canine Bowen is useful in for these problems as it can relieve pain, and boost circulation.
